A top official from the Biden administration has said that he is supportive of President Donald Trump’s attack on Iran from June of last year and suggested that Joe Biden may have done the same if he had been elected to a second term in office. Amos Hochstein, senior energy adviser to Biden within the State Department, said that the Biden administration had modeled similar scenarios to last…

What bullshit am I repeating? Of course everyone has known Iran was working on nukes for a long time. Isreal has bombed their facilities before. Obama and the EU has made deals to slow them down.
The difference here is that trump is a moron and blew up the Iran deal and then allowed Isreal to persuade him to attack. It probably has slowed down Iran’s ability to build a bomb, but it will certainly increase their motivation. And it’s fucked up the world economy (although a silver lining there will be even more of a push for renewables going forward).
Every knows that Iran was not building nukes
They clearly were. They had centrifuges for exactly that. And why wouldn’t they? Trump blew up the deal, and with the U.S. attacking them it would be the only way for them to be safe (see N Korea).
Not true. The inteligence during Obama , biden, the first and second trump that they are not building nukes. According to Netenyahu iran was two weeks away from nukes for 30 goddamn year, why iran still not have them?
They have been purifying Uranium. They have not done the last stage when it becomes weapons grade. And that’s because they know they’d then get bombed. The West doesn’t know exactly what they’re doing in their nuclear development bunkers so Iran could start developing an actual bomb and it wouldn’t take very long; they know what to do - hence the ‘two week’ claim, which is an exaggeration at best and often a complete fabrication at the time, but not totally implausible. Obama made a deal for them not to make the bomb, because he knew they could, not that they had already done so. After the last bombing of their bunkers by trump which were by most accounts fairly ineffective, who knows if they actually started purifying to weapons grade? Honestly why wouldn’t they if they were going to get bombed regardless. If they could pull off a nuke test and claim believably that they had more nuke rockets ready to go, the U.S. would have to leave them alone. Of course, I wouldn’t believe anything trump, the U.S. government or Isreal says about it.
Purifying and enriching uranium does not automatically mean building nuclear weapons. There was no evidence that Iran was working on building nukes
If they are afraid to get bombed for building nukes then htey will never build one. Now that they are bombed why are they not building it?
Confirming again that there is no evidence.
The American intelligence that contradicted Trump
Because Ali Khamenei though that building nukes in a sin . You can’t say Iran is a theocracy and at the same time say they do not take their religious decree seriously . At the end of the deay you have no evidence that now that they are bombed , they are planing to build nukes
All your comments proved otherwise . You have not provided a single evidence just delusional doubts
Maybe read a Canadian [report] ?(https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/iran-nuclear-bomb-united-states-war-9.7147664) it doesn’t totally disagree with you, but has a more balanced take, I think.
The article prove my point. Iran was not trying to build nukes post 2003. That the enrichment to 60% was a negotiation tool, if they wanted to build a nuke they would have done it. There is zero evidence that after the assassination of Ali Khamenei , Iran is changing it’s position against nukes.
The enrichment to 60% was a threat that they could and would build a bomb if they didn’t get what they wanted - and I’m not saying they shouldn’t have done that - but you can’t have it both ways - they could have made a bomb in short order if they wanted. So then it comes down to trust, and there’s very little of that. I’d love to be able to trust everyone and trust that Iran wouldn’t bomb anyone else. But we know they are willing to fire missiles at Isreal, and they have a real grievance. So I can see why taking the risk could be considered unacceptable. Of course, Obama’s diplomatic approach was much much better than the orange moron’s isreali-led disaster.
