Amos Hochstein, senior energy adviser to Biden within the State Department, said that the Biden administration had modeled similar scenarios to last…

The article prove my point. Iran was not trying to build nukes post 2003. That the enrichment to 60% was a negotiation tool, if they wanted to build a nuke they would have done it. There is zero evidence that after the assassination of Ali Khamenei , Iran is changing it’s position against nukes.

The enrichment to 60% was a threat that they could and would build a bomb if they didn’t get what they wanted - and I’m not saying they shouldn’t have done that - but you can’t have it both ways - they could have made a bomb in short order if they wanted. So then it comes down to trust, and there’s very little of that. I’d love to be able to trust everyone and trust that Iran wouldn’t bomb anyone else. But we know they are willing to fire missiles at Isreal, and they have a real grievance. So I can see why taking the risk could be considered unacceptable. Of course, Obama’s diplomatic approach was much much better than the orange moron’s isreali-led disaster.

I’d love to be able to trust everyone and trust that Iran wouldn’t bomb anyone else.

You don’t have to trust them but you have no evidence that they are seeking nukes now . You can’t trust ebven more israel a colonial state who is genociding palestinians and want to extend it’s border to even more countries

But we know they are willing to fire missiles at Isreal, and they have a real grievance

Yes they are willing to fire missiles at a colonial state who is a threat to the whole region including them

Exactly. I can totally see them wanting nukes. And if they had nukes they’d use them to ward off attacks with threats. But if Isreal called their bluff, or some religious nut decided it was time, we could end up with a nuclear exchange. I have no evidence - how could I? - but it’s common sense.

It is not common sense to say Iran is weeks away from building nukes if they want yet decades after Netenyahu claims there is still no evidence that they are willing to build one even after the usa and israel attacked them and killed their “supreme leader” .

You are simply creating an eternal threat that will never happen
