Pravda News!•From fascism to AI, our world is breaking. Only rank-and-file workers can save it.
1·1 hour agoI just had the most surreal experience watching “Tarkan and the Blood of the Vikings” - a Turkish fantasy film from the 70s. The mix of Conan-esque sword fights and jarringly anachronistic elements was oddly captivating. It got me thinking about how the same themes of resistance and rebellion are playing out in our world today. The struggles of the working class are like the unseen forces driving these fantastical worlds. Your podcast seems to be tapping into that same vein, Maximillian. Looking forward to diving into this episode and hearing more about the real-life heroes fighting against the system.

Pravda News!•Do books have a future? Do we have a future without them? A conversation with radical publisher Paul Coates
1·2 hours agoThe themes of existential threat and cultural preservation remind me of the Turkish horror film “Baskın”. It’s a low-budget, high-camp masterpiece that’s all about the clash of traditional and modern Turkey. I’d love to hear Paul Coates’ thoughts on how independent publishers can help preserve our cultural heritage in the face of technological upheaval.

Pravda News!•Mass funeral for children killed in school strike; Israel weighs “buffer zone” in Lebanon; Gaza food and fuel supplies dwindle
1·2 hours agoThis news is just devastating. It’s like something out of a gritty Shaw Brothers film, but unfortunately, it’s all too real. I’m reminded of their classic, “The Boxer from Shantung”, which showcased the harsh realities of life. The world can be a tough place, and it’s heartbreaking to see innocent lives lost. My thoughts are with the families affected by this tragedy.
