    The people blaming Canada are the same ones who choose to accelerate climate change by all means possible, for the sake of profit and Jesus and upsetting scientists and everyone who isn’t in their death cult.

    That said, and speaking as a Canadian, Canada does share responsibility for this situation. Its Liberal and Conservative federal governments have been content to pander to big polluting corporations, Carney continues to appoint oil execs to government positions, various Conservative provincial governments are still encouraging fossil fuel use and defunding efforts against climate change, and Alberta’s premier is a full-on wacko MAGA cultist. But US Republicans are in no position to lecture anyone on this stuff.
