Feels like the US is the muscle, not the head, in this
There’s a reason Iran refer to USA and Israel as the Great and Lesser Satans. I know we in the West are conditioned to have a short historical attention span and a long memory for unimportant things like celebrity happenings, for instance, but it’s important to seek out and recall the long arc of history. Being led entirely by feelings isn’t wise, although gut feels certainly have their place! As always, the art is in adjusting the balances, appropriately.

Just because an empire was once leading its colony that doesn’t mean the power balance cannot dramatically shift, especially as the natural competency crisis inherent to all imperial methods of management takes greater and greater effect.
Is Israel, the state, controlling the US?
No, of course not. Is Israel, the fictional Garden of Eden and necessary eternal goal of all zionists world wide leading both the US and Israel? Yes.

Zionists are fully in control of the US. Every single president since JFK, from less than 15% to 99% of congress in that time period, nearly the entirety of the judicial appointments since the 1960s, which are now the majority of judges today at all levels of the judicial branch are all zionists. They all physically believe Israel needs to exist, needs to be protected, and most of them believe Israel should lead the entire world.
Global capital and zionism are compatible, and the differences between them ultimately shrinks as more and more of global capital are just becoming zionist. Capitalism, of course, is essential to zionism as it’s the best method ever invented to control whatever outgroup you need to exist but not be threatened by, and zionism has a lot of outgroup to ultimately control.
So ultimately the distinction is meaningless between whether the US leads Israel or Israel leads the US. They’re both fully staffed in all positions of power by the exact same people with the exact same goals.
I think Israel is the willing scapegoat, doing US dirty work. I also think they’re testing their limits.
That only works if there’s not a literal open death cult that specifically claims Israel’s existence is necessary for the continued existence of the West. That’s only plausible if even a single president in the last 60 years claimed anything other than Israel must exist and must be protected because God commands it. It’s only even thinkable if you completely ignore the causes of all of the US’ military interventions since the US lost the Vietnam war. Heck even the Vietnam war to some extent.
