Do Hakeem Jeffries and other leading Democrats really oppose the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran? Or do they actually support the war and just want Trump to launch it knowing that it’s deeply unpopular? @ryangrim of @dropsitenews explains why Democrats don’t serve as a meaningful opposition. Any sensible American should be in support of toppling Iran, the real questions to ask are “do they support a war powers act to restrict Trump’s invasion plans” and also “should the USA support Israel invading Iran”.

IMO the answers should be Yes for one and No for two.

You could also ask them “do you support the shah royalist faction” but I feel like 8 out of 10 Americans would just say somehting along the lines of “the what…?”

And why should we be in support of a war with Iran? Cause I haven’t heard a good reason. Just a bunch of bad ones.

Iranian citizens, under duress from drought and famine, have risen up against the despots. Now is the time to help them create a better system with less suffering, and the fact that this also deters future nuclear war and extremism pipelines is a bonus which helps protect the west.

Having another country unilaterally make that decision for you is a pretty bad reason for them to get involved. I’m sure all the kids we killed is really going to help protect the west from extremism.

Trump doesn’t do anything unless it benefits him in some way.

Iranian leaders under Ayatollah were starving the people and starting wars in neighboring countries, like when they armed the forces who reignited the war in Gaza by attacking the music festival. While it’s important for us to minimize casualties and accept responsibility for our mistakes, the blood is on their hands.

US Congress should pass a war powers resolution to keep Trump in check, but it’s beneficial for all of us to bring the conflict in Iran to a close with competent new leadership capable of caring for its people and promoting peace for the region.
