Not defending Israel in any way here, they are 100% genociding Palestinians and seem to be trying to bring about the end times.
And I do recognize that there are different types of bullets within any given caliber (hollow point, FMJ, bare lead) but what analysis can determine the bullet was specifically “Israeli military-grade” ?
Is there something specific the Israeli military requires for their bullets that is distinguishingly different than any other military-grade ammunition?
If you mixed up just the bullet, not the whole cartridge but just the projectile, with bullets of the same caliber from the US military, Russian military, Israeli military, Turkish military, Finnish military, or really any industrial nation military… Is there any way to tell the difference?Without knowing the methodology under which the analysis was done, we can’t really say for sure, can we? Forensic identification can be done that identifies bullets to their manufacturers based on their unique elemental signatures for example. I’m sure the Iranian military is capable of performing such forensic investigations and would have familiarity with Israeli weapons compositions. But I’m just some guy on the internet, so who can say.
You don’t even need to do forensics on the bullets. IMI headstamps on the casings would be a big clue. To think Israel wouldn’t be actively working towards destabilizing Iran from the inside is absolutely asinine.
Oh I agree. I didn’t bother addressing headstamps because it seemed likely someone would just say “Well what if they didn’t have the casings!” You’re right though, the casings would have a makers mark on them and that would be enough to ID them.
This fully mirrors the narrative the Islamic regime is trying to create, that this recent uprising was conducted by terrorists supported by Israel and the US. This is an attempt to tarnish these protests and justify the regime’s brutal response to it.

Yeah, that’s why I asked them the question. It’s not even covert anymore. Do I think there is real rebellion happening against the Ayatollah? Yeah, I do. Do I think opportunists and reactionaries will use this to reinstall the Shah or some other western aligned government? Yeah, I absolutely do. I don’t know enough, do not have enough sources, or connections, to know what the character of the movement is on the ground. I don’t know if the Anarchists are organizing broadly, or if the Communists are forming any kind of vanguard to rally the masses, or if there is even a left popular front leading this movement. What I do know is that imperialism never sleeps, and never misses an opportunity to capture a movement.
