Yeah, that’s why I asked them the question. It’s not even covert anymore. Do I think there is real rebellion happening against the Ayatollah? Yeah, I do. Do I think opportunists and reactionaries will use this to reinstall the Shah or some other western aligned government? Yeah, I absolutely do. I don’t know enough, do not have enough sources, or connections, to know what the character of the movement is on the ground. I don’t know if the Anarchists are organizing broadly, or if the Communists are forming any kind of vanguard to rally the masses, or if there is even a left popular front leading this movement. What I do know is that imperialism never sleeps, and never misses an opportunity to capture a movement.
