LOL. Yeah, that was a weird one. The RSS feed returns
presstv.irURLs even though I pull the RSS feed fromwww.presstv.ir. For the life of me, I couldn’t get the links from my site to load, but if I googled the articles, they loaded fine. Naturally, FF on mobile truncates thewww.making it seem like it was the same URL, but it actually wasn’t. I’ve added a post processor to the bot that will add thewww.to the URLs now, and I’m working on going back over the last few days of presstv.ir posts and updating their URLs with a script.I know a few years ago they had
presstv.comsized by the US government, so who knows what kind of back end tricks they’re doing with thewww.subdomain.I believe Google has undue influence in FF handling of things. I’ve had good success with librewolf but I don’t know about what to use for mobile devices.
