The text, authored by Enrica Matricotti, is based on the documentary *Che Guevara in the 21st Century*—directed by Italian filmmaker Walter Uliano Pistelli—which covers the final days of the guerrilla campaign in Bolivia and offers a contemporary perspective from the survivors and the children of those who fell.
At the filmmaker’s initiative, the documentary was screened across several regions in Chile to raise funds for the project “Let’s Give Cuba Back Its Voice” (*Devolvamos la voz a Cuba*), which aims to install solar panels at the headquarters of the Latin American news agency, Prensa Latina.
The book was presented by Massiel Lopez, Patricia Navarrete, and Sandra Trafilaf—members of the *Fidelistas por siempre* solidarity collective in the Valparaíso region—who spearheaded the printing and distribution of the book in Chile.
During the event, Pistelli’s documentary was screened, followed by a discussion on the importance of preserving history and passing it on to new generations.
Navarrete and Lopez explained that the collective conceived the idea of donating copies to community libraries, ensuring that the public—especially young people and students—can access the work and engage in discussions about it.
Meanwhile, Segundo Sanhuesa, one of the founders of the Rayen library 28 years ago, explained that the center has always operated as an independent project under the motto “cultivating resistance.” Part of its mission is to promote a culture of dialogue as an alternative to the prevailing logic of consumerism.
