Eslami told RT about the threats made by US President Donald Trump to attack Mount Ras al-Fas in Iran, from where it overlooks the Strait of Hormuz, and stated that those warnings reflect “a state of weakness.”
Trump affirmed that Washington could strike the area if it detects any activity.
Eslami criticized Grossi, declaring that the IAEA chief “has, in effect, become one of our enemies and one of their followers, relaying information on to them.”
The international agency did not immediately respond to the Iranian accusations.
These remarks come amid heightened tensions between Tehran and Washington, following a military offensive launched by the United States and Israel against Iran on February 28, 2026.
