CITIZENS Revolution supporters marched through Riobamba in Ecuador on Wednesday demanding the release of jailed left leader Luisa Gonzalez.Ms Gonzalez, who twice stood against President Daniel Noboa in elections, has been held in the town since her arrest on October 23. Prosecutors accuse her of illegal campaign financing, but supporters say this is part of a “lawfare” campaign persecuting political opponents of the regime.
