The Israeli government is restricting the exit from Gaza of more than 1,100 children with amputated limbs amid continuing attacks by the Zionist army, according to the Geneva-based Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor.
Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor reported that 1,134 minors have suffered limb amputations in the Strip and face severe obstacles in accessing long-term medical care and rehabilitation services. Zionist travel restrictions also include medical evacuations, preventing hundreds of children from seeking specialized treatment abroad.

WHO data indicate that between September 2024 and May 2026, 2,300 amputees—adults and children—were assessed in the Palestinian enclave. Only 500, less than 25%, managed to access permanent prostheses.

The care situation inside the Gaza Strip is worsening amid a shortage of qualified personnel and basic supplies. Adding to this reality is the ban imposed by the occupying forces on importing prosthetics manufacturing tools and the blocking of entry permits for international specialists dedicated to training local medical personnel.
The consequences severely affect the development of the child population. “The continued denial of treatment, rehabilitation and adequate education poses the risk of turning the harm these children face now into lifelong deprivation,” the organization warned.
The report details that “gaps in medical follow-up and the impossibility of adjusting prostheses as children grow can cause further complications, chronic pain and greater difficulty in moving.”
