Even moving beyond just Elon, the entirety of the “anti-DEI” republican platform wholeheartedly collapsed in this election cycle. They spent two years doing everything they could to screw everyone in the government that arent WASP men on the basis of “standing up to wokeness”.
How did that work out? The people responded by electing 4 first black governors, including the first black woman ever to be governor anywhere in the country. The first muslim senator. As well as other first representatives including native, gay, and transgender people. It couldnt have been more of a rebuke of all that horseshit that they have been peddling for years, and its about damn time
There were some ugly votes too, but by and large its a great bellwether for progress and an actual shift towards a better society
