Our energy future does not have to be as bleak as it is often presented to us. Without a profit motive, without private owners opposing renewable energy for fear of their fossil fuel assets losing value, and without the drive to militarily dominate the entire world, the challenge of developing climate resiliency is one that we can meet head on.
