The Venezuelan Government delivered 1,157 rehabilitated homes in La Guaira, Caracas and Miranda as part of the Venezuela Reborn plan, created after the earthquakes of last June 24.

The plan’s main objective is to guarantee protection and financial inclusion for those who lost their homes or suffered severe structural damage from the earthquakes, facilitating access to a new home or its reconstruction, according to the plan’s stated purpose.

Acting President Delcy Rodríguez said during the delivery ceremony that the Venezuela Renace plan is intervening in more than 21,000 homes, which will benefit 87,000 people. She also underscored that the delivery of 1,157 rehabilitated homes meant 4,500 people were returning to their houses, and described the emotion of those who could return home.

The people returning to these spaces had been in camps after the double earthquake and are returning to their homes after the Venezuelan State carried out repairs and restored public services, according to the official account.

With this delivery, nearly 1,200 homes have been handed over between Caracas and La Guaira, and efforts have been made to recover more than 4,600 houses in the Capital District, La Guaira, Aragua and Miranda state, according to the Government.
