Drones dropped explosive devices on the grounds of three schools and 17 kindergartens in the Bezhitsky District.

On Friday, Yegor Kovalchuk, the governor of Russia’s Bryansk region, denounced that the Ukrainian armed forces deployed drones to drop numerous explosive devices on the grounds of three schools and 17 kindergartens in the Bezhitsky District.

“Traffic was halted in the area of Donbasskaya and Metallurgov streets. Emergency response teams are operating at the scene, and mine clearance operations are being carried out,” TASS reported, noting that sappers had rescued a female driver from a car surrounded by explosive devices released by a Ukrainian drone.

On social media, military-geopolitical analyst Stanislav Krapivnik offered details about the car incident and other events that took place in Bryansk.

“A bomb disposal expert wearing full protective gear carefully fastens a bulletproof vest around a woman behind the wheel. Slowly, as though dressing a child for a walk. Then he leads her out of the car, step by step, along a route known only to him. She could not drive away herself. A mine had fallen from the sky and was lying beneath her wheel,” he recounted.

The text reads, “More Ukrainian terrorism. Civilians are being evacuated from areas in the Bryansk region that have been seeded with mines by drones (video). Three schools and 17 kindergartens in Bryansk, Russia, are potential targets for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.”

“The schoolchildren were fortunate — most children in Bryansk are on holiday. Kindergartens, however, never have holidays. Eight in the morning is when parents walk their little ones by the hand to the gates,” Krapivnik said, referring to the explosives scattered across the grounds of schools and kindergartens.

This Ukrainian terrorist attack against the civilian population, however, is not an isolated incident given other similar incidents.

“Last summer, the Ukrainian parliament suspended the country’s participation in the Ottawa Convention — the international ban on anti-personnel mines. The justification was dressed up in fine language: self-defense, territorial protection and the UN Charter. Apparently, a children’s sandbox in Bezhitsa is now the front line of Ukraine’s defense,” the Russian analyst recalled.

On Saturday, Bryansk Governor Kovalchuk denounced that two civilians were killed and five others injured in a Ukrainian drone attack on a private house in the Klimovo village.

The fatal victims were a 30-year-old woman and a 41-year-old man, Kovalchuk said, adding that four women and one man were also injured in the attack.

Over the past 24 hours, 29 fixed-wing drones were destroyed over the Bryansk region by Russian air defense units and other security forces.
