CHANCELLOR John Healey was criticised by the Resolution Foundation today for a “poorly targeted” Budget which doesn’t address Britain’s main economic challenges.
The think tank’s analysis of the first Budget of the Andy Burnham premiership, Spread Thin, said it was “remarkable for its lack of action, rather than its radicalism” and would actually raise the cost of living for millions, including many families with children.
“Following six months that shook the world, the Chancellor has chosen not to rock the boat,” it said.
