STUDENT representatives have rejected measures put forward by the country’s prime minister to halt the protests and blockades that have engulfed France for two weeks.
PM Sebastien Lecornu met some students in Paris on Monday to brief them on a raft of measures he was intending to announce.
The measures included reform of the university admissions system, with partial implementation in 2027 and more far-reaching changes in 2028.
But implementation of the proposal will depend on the government that emerges from the April-May presidential election.
