SCOTTISH Greens have attacked Scotland’s First Minister John Swinney for “years of swithering” over new oil and gas drilling and the recent go-ahead of the Jackdaw gas field.

Party co-leader Gillian Mackay also hit out at the UK government for approving drilling at Jackdaw in her keynote speech at the party’s conference in Inverness on Saturday.

With the decision on the much bigger Rosebank still to be announced, Ms Mackay urged the SNP leader to oppose it.
