THANKS so much to all those who sent lovely messages for my 69th birthday last Wednesday and our 26th wedding anniversary the day before. My birthday on the 21st was the 60th anniversary of the Aberfan disaster, a day which I still remember vividly, and once again I was asked to share My Ninth Birthday, the poem I wrote about my experiences as a child that day. But in the main I was concerned with much happier things.
