Through his account on social network X, the head of Foreign Relations emphasized that this behavior reflects Washington’s lack of arguments.
“In the public conversation, the US blockade against Cuba has almost no one to defend it, a clear reflection of the lack of arguments for an aggressive policy designed to hurt our people and repudiated by the overwhelming majority of the international community”, wrote the head of Cuban diplomacy.
Rodríguez specified that these results are derived from an analysis carried out by the Media Observatory of Cubadebate, which examined a considerable sample of publications in Spanish and English and other reference accounts.
According to the report, the study analyzed international digital conversation between September 20 and October 19, 2026.
The sample covered 57,299 publications and 1,818 messages from 280 reference accounts of media, institutions and journalists in Latin America, the United States, Europe and Asia.
The figures detail that 41,334 publications (72.1 percent) denounce the blockade or reproduce the Cuban position; 23 reports without taking a position; and 4.3 (2,480 publications) oppose the island’s position.
Within the latter group, only 99 publications openly defend Washington’s actions.
