CIVIL Service union PCS will ballot hundreds of Scottish government digital workers for strike action over plans which could see 1,100 workers face a 14 per cent pay cut.
The move comes after a consultative ballot back in May found 99 per cent of affected union members backed retaining the long-standing Digital, Data and Technology supplement, and opposed shifting to a new Government Digital and Data (GDD) supplement; 95 per cent were willing to strike to keep it.
