MORE state schools in England are introducing a two-week October half term, prompting chidcare concerns for families.
A survey by Teacher Tapp of 8,112 state school teachers found 15 per cent had a two-week October half term this year, up from 12 per cent last year and 7 per cent in 2023.
Most councils still run a one-week break, but the growth of academies has led more schools and trusts to explore it.
