The diplomatic institution condemned in a statement the intensification of incursions in the Quneitra Governorate and the rural areas of Daraa, in southern Syria, over the last few days.

The document stated that those operations coincided with an increase in overflights by Israeli helicopters, reconnaissance aircraft, and combat jets in the airspace over the country’s southern region.

The Ministry described those actions as a “flagrant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic” and deemed them a threat to the population’s safety.

It further warned that the continuation of those incursions undermines the prospects for achieving stability in Syria and the region, while also hindering reconstruction and recovery efforts.

The Foreign Ministry urged the international community to fulfill its responsibilities by ending those violations and demanding that Israel comply with international law and relevant United Nations resolutions.
