A Reform councillor was caught on camera joking that he would still be bathing a female colleague if she were his daughter. An undercover ITV investigation published on Wednesday caught Reform councillors spewing violent, racist and misogynistic language – including one councillor who said Muslim families should be dragged from their homes and deported to Pakistan. The two Reform councillors featured in this video – Alan Feeney and Chris Whelan – have resigned from the party. Responding to accusations about Reform’s vetting processes, Nigel Farage said on Thursday that his party screens candidates “to a much higher standard than other parties” but could not be held accountable for “future comments” made by its representatives.
