Worldwide protests led by Gen-Z have sprung up around the world. Young people face a future overshadowed by economic instability, limited job options, and climate change. Decades of neoliberalism have led to the decay of public schools, job prospects, and public goods and services as a whole. While the far right has moved to use this calamity to their advantage, young people are rising up globally to reject both fascism and neoliberalism and instead advocate for actual good governance that invests in public goods and invests in their futures. From France to Brazil to Spain to India to Argentina and Ecuador and beyond, we’re seeing an international uprising linked together in the rejection of the far-right and neoliberalism.
