HUNDREDS of Age UK charity workers will be balloted for strike action amid fury at real-terms wage cuts of over 15 per cent, their union Unite announced today.The ballot covers more than 200 staff across a range of roles, including on the Advice Line and Silver Line emotional support and friendship service, as well as supporting regional Age UK partner organisations, who have already seen the real value of their wages fall by a staggering 15.3 per cent since 2021.
