SCORES of comrades rallied on Saturday under the gaze of La Pasionaria in Glasgow to remember the International Brigaders and the cause they fought for.
Ahead of the International Brigades Memorial Trust AGM in the city, and beneath the statue of Dolores Ibarruri on the banks of the Clyde, the rally heard from trade union activist Alison Campbell-Glass, the great-granddaughter of international brigader George Drever who spent eight months as a prisoner of Franco’s forces.
