MPs are trying to overturn a ruling that stops police in England and Wales from being sued for failing victims of crime.
Backbenchers are seeking to reverse a 2025 Court of Appeal judgement that allows officers immunity from civil litigation when they are witnesses in court cases or for their conduct or statements they make during investigations.
