“Long live the revolution! Long live Venezuela!” Supporters of late Venezuelan leader Hugo Chávez took to the streets of Caracas on Wednesday to commemorate 14 years since his final electoral triumph in the presidential race. Participants also remembered the closing rally of that campaign on October 4, 2012, when throngs of Chavez loyalists flooded seven boulevards in downtown Caracas. Despite heavy rain, Chavez gave an address that day and called on his followers to turn out and cast their ballots.
