THE worst forms of homelessness in Scotland could be cut almost in half in just two years with the right “political choices,” according to a new study today.

Analysis carried out by Heriot-Watt University researchers for charity Crisis Scotland estimates homelessness has soared by 54 per cent since 2020 to around 22,800 households, with around 19,000 languishing in temporary accommodation, and 1,000 sleep rough.
