THOUSANDS of supporters of India’s youth “Cockroach” movement demonstrated in Bengaluru today, stepping up a nationwide campaign demanding the election chief’s resignation over a voter list revision.

The demonstration in the southern city came a day after opposition leader Rahul Gandhi was detained by police at a protest in New Delhi, and again today, totalling three arrests in two days.

Other members of his Congress Party and opposition politicians also attended protests.
