JANNIK SINNER will not play again this season because of the knee injury that has sidelined him since Wimbledon.

The world number one recently announced he would not be able to return in China as planned and he has now decided to call an early end to his campaign.

In a video on social media, Sinner said: “Hello everyone, I would like to give you a little update.

“Me together with the doctors have decided that I need a course of treatment for my knee, which means that the 2026 season is officially over.”
