Notorious and ultra-Zionist Israel lobby group, the so-called ‘Jewish Labour Movement’ (JLM), has threatened the Green Party with an investigation by the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) over its landmark motion declaring that ‘Zionism is racism’.
It follows an earlier complaint by Labour MPs to Sussex Police over “possible antisemitic offences”.
The full wording of the motion is below:
Zionism is racism. Obviously!
Anyone who wishes to have a view on this may want to actually read the [sensible and non-controversial] motion: https://t.co/MUI6ITePzc

Green Party targeted by Israel lobby
The JLM used a spurious EHRC referral against Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour as part of the Israel lobby’s ‘antisemitism scam’ to bring down Corbyn and demonise the left.
It then routinely misrepresented the EHRC’s findings to claim that the organisation had found ‘institutional racism’ in Labour — a claim that is flatly untrue, but still reinforced regularly by lobby groups and their media allies.
Now, JLM is threatening to resurrect the same dishonest tactic against the Green Party.

What is the Jewish Labour Movement?
JLM is an explicitly Zionist organisation, revived in 2015 to combat Corbyn’s leadership of Labour. It requires its Jewish members and non-Jewish ‘ally’ members to “promote the centrality of Israel in Jewish life”.
The JLM defends Israel and has never condemned the colony’s genocide in Gaza or its wars of aggression. It has attacked Labour members for passing a motion naming Israel’s genocide. As such, the group is fundamentally committed to the racist ideology and therefore, fundamentally untrustworthy as a complainant on supposed discrimination against Zionists for their racism.
This is unlikely to prevent the EHRC from accepting a complaint and agreeing to investigate.
The EHRC’s shortcomings
The EHRC was, unsurprisingly, unable to find significant antisemitism in Corbyn’s Labour. Levels in the party were far below the norm for any group representative of the UK population and much, much lower than in other political parties.
However, the EHRC still agreed to investigate and shamed itself by then structuring its report to provide just enough ‘red meat’ to the left’s enemies.
It smeared two prominent Labour members, claiming they had “harassed” Jews — its only substantive finding of antisemitism. It was then forced to settle out of court with the wronged pair for its false accusations.
The EHRC completely failed to acknowledge what Starmer’s own (reluctantly appointed) barrister, Martin Forde, found when he looked into a leaked report showing the Labour right’s war on the left. Forde concluded that antisemitism accusations had been one of the right’s key weapons in its attempts to discredit and purge Corbyn and his supporters. His report remains stubbornly ignored by Labour.
The EHRC has also been condemned by its own former senior officers as “unfit” and not independent. It has been accused of sacking senior staff for “being too loud about racism” against Black people and Muslims.
The organisation also refused to investigate the then Tory government’s obvious Islamophobia. At least one EHRC director was an undeclared Tory donor.
On its track record the EHRC, then, cannot be considered a neutral arbiter or investigator. Rather, it functions as a tool that is all too easily weaponised by the Establishment against those who challenge it. In other words, a natural resort of the Israel lobby.
If it gets involved against the Green Party for standing against the racist ideology of Zionism, the party and all right-minded people must treat it with the contempt it deserves and relentlessly point out its bias and unfitness.
