On Sunday, Russia and the Netherlands sent new donations to Cuba, primarily for the health and education sectors, as part of cooperation and humanitarian aid initiatives.

Three ambulances and a Lada Iskra were delivered from the Russian city of St. Petersburg to healthcare institutions in Havana, Matanzas, and Santiago de Cuba.

One of the handover ceremonies took place at the Ramon Gonzalez Coro Maternity and Obstetrics Hospital in Havana, with the participation of hospital staff, patients, and Russian diplomatic representatives.

During the ceremony, Viktor Koronelli, the Russian Ambassador to Cuba, emphasized the friendship and cooperation between the two countries and the significance of this contribution to medical services.

The donation is part of a program promoted by Aleksandr Beglov, Governor of St. Petersburg, aimed at supporting social institutions and projects of public interest on the island.

Meanwhile, the province of Holguin received a shipment from the Netherlands containing school supplies and medical equipment destined for various communities in the eastern part of the province. The aid was transported in 11 containers managed by the Dutch foundation Stichting Cuba Adelante.

The resources will be distributed among institutions and communities in the municipalities of Holguin, Banes, and Moa. Authorities from the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) expressed their gratitude for the contribution.
