“They are returning to their homes, leaving the tents, and coming together again in their homes. So, congratulations! And from here, we are handing over more than 607 rehabilitated homes,” she said.

Nationwide, the Venezuelan government has delivered 607 fully repaired homes (575 apartments and 32 houses distributed among 16 buildings), ensuring the dignified return of 2,279 people to their homes.

In the Martin Vegas housing development, located in the Urimare parish, 94 apartments and eight houses were completed, benefiting 391 people and bringing the number of housing units rehabilitated in this sector to 218.

“It is very important that you know that you are not alone. I know that sometimes more is needed, and the instruction given to the head of the ‘Venezuela is Reborn’ Plan is to accompany the process,” Rodriguez said.

The handover ceremony included the allocation of financing for condominium boards and neighborhood associations, allowing for self-management of repairs through joint efforts with public and private banks and state agencies.

“Together with Gov. Joana Sanchez, we are also providing financing to 96 condominium boards in Aragua state,” the Venezuelan acting president said, specifying that the funds can be used for temporary rentals and the purchase of properties on the secondary market.

Likewise, the Venezuelan government reported on progress in other regions of the country:

Altagracia Parish (Caracas): Allocation of 136 rehabilitated apartments in the Ana Maria and Doña Amalia buildings, benefiting 479 people.

Santa Teresa Parish (Caracas): Handover of 96 apartments in the Pilita 1 and Pilita 2 buildings, for 436 people.

Leoncio Martinez Parish (Miranda): Rehabilitation of 31 apartments at the Residencias Primavera, benefiting 78 residents.

El Recreo, Sucre, San Agustin and 23 de Enero parishes (Caracas): Handover of 242 repaired homes (218 apartments and 24 houses), benefiting 895 people.

“We have been working on the post-earthquake recovery process, and we are precisely handing over 218 rehabilitated homes. What happiness for the families returning to their homes today!” Rodriguez said.

Finally, the Venezuelan leader toured the development, speaking with community representatives and families and highlighting that the recovery work has been carried out in record time to restore the homes of affected families.

“You have all the support needed to continue recovering your homes, your buildings, your condominiums, and so that we can have a peaceful Christmas season. A hug to everyone,” she said.
