GREEN Party members passed a motion today to define zionism as racism at the party’s conference in Brighton.
Members backed the motion which declares the Greens to be an “anti-zionist party” and sets out in its policy that zionism will be “treated as any other form of racism.”
The motion passed by 1,022 votes, with 813 against.
It was reported earlier that party leader Zack Polanski would not take part in the vote.
A party spokesperson said: “This has been a serious and deeply felt debate within our membership.
