The Pope will travel to Peru from November 11 to 16 and will visit Lima, Pucallpa, Chiclayo, and Cusco. During his tour of the capital, Leo XIV will hold a prayer vigil with young people that will include artistic expressions, dynamics, and life testimonies on Thursday, November 12, at 6:00 PM local time (11:00 PM GMT).

This week, the representative of the Archbishopric of Lima, Yadir Candela, explained that the Monumental Stadium has a capacity for around 60,000 attendees, and half of this capacity will be allocated to youth delegations from different dioceses of the country, while the other 30,000 spaces will be covered through an open call.

However, rumors have emerged in recent days suggesting that certain box owners at the “crema” team’s stadium are renting out their spaces for the meeting with the Pope, despite it being a free event.”

Much progress was made in the process, but there were already technical issues that were, let’s say, insurmountable,” explained Guillermo Inca, who is also deputy secretary-general of the Peruvian Episcopal Conference (CEP), on Canal N.

He affirmed that all meetings with the Holy Father “are always free” and “no one can say that we ask for even one sol for entry.

“Inca added that the dioceses will be responsible for distributing entry tickets among the faithful who participate in the different events scheduled during the papal visit.

The national coordinator of the visit indicated that they are waiting for the Apostolic Nunciature to receive the corresponding response from Rome to publicly announce the new venue, which could be the National Stadium, located near the historic center of the capital.
