Zack Polanski has called on Andy Burnham to deproscribe Palestine Action in his speech to Green party conference. The Green leader praised his MPs for voting against the ban on the group, arguing that they were the ones standing up for free speech and civil liberties. Polanski, who is not an MP, is running against Labour’s Sagal Abdi-Wali in next Thursday’s Holborn and St Pancras byelection in a bid to win Keir Starmer’s old seat.
