The Workers’ Party leader highlighted the economic and social achievements reached during his administration and outlined the changes he would pursue during his next term, including reducing the workweek by eliminating Saturday work.

“This is my last election. My last administration will be the most important of all,” Lula said, and reaffirmed the broad support among voters of all ages for his progressive proposal.

In recent weeks, in response to Meta’s decision to block Lula’s campaign on Facebook and Instagram, supporters of the leftist leader have turned to social media to create their own messages. The “Let’s Go, Lula!” (Bora Lula) campaign has thus become a major event fueled by people from around the world.

The text reads, “There is a massive movement on social media among Latin Americans worldwide supporting President Lula. Voting for Lula means not only defending Brazil from the Bolsonaro ‘crime family,’ but also defending all of Latin America from the ravages —oops— from the United States. Vote 13! Let’s go Lula!”

On Thursday, the final day for political campaigning, the son of former President Jair Bolsonaro will participate in a debate with other right-wing candidates that will be televised by TV Globo. At the same time, Lula da Silva will give an interview to Flow Podcast.

Over the next two days, candidates may continue participating in street events but may not ask citizens for their votes or deliver speeches.

On Sunday, nearly 158 million Brazilians are expected to vote in elections to choose a president, vice president, 27 governors, lawmakers, and senators.

So far, voting-intention polls show Lula da Silva with an advantage of about five points over Flavio Bolsonaro. However, a runoff is expected to take place in three weeks.
