The apparent false flag incident at Fairford air base has taken a new twist after police revealed one of the five men arrested had called the police himself — an hour before the ‘local farmer’ who called emergency services later.

The attempts by media and politicians to turn the arrests — involving three vans carrying (just) petrol — into a case for war against Iran, Russia or both, had already imploded in farce.

Police quickly granted the men bail, torpedoing the supposed ‘terror’ narrative. Officers then revealed there had been no explosives or anything that could have been improvised into a bomb.

Plus, locals shared that the base had been preparing for the incident for several days before it happened.

A farmer had claimed that her 999 call had “foiled whatever plans they had”. But the suspect — in what appears to have been a petrol theft or fraud amid soaring prices — called the police at 12.45am, well before she hit dial. This explains why police told her they had received their first call about it an hour earlier and adds more comedic fuel to the weird incident.

The ‘terror suspects’ not only left their vans and wandered about for an hour while the cops dawdled their way to the area but had called the police themselves.

Police described the decision to release the five as an “investigative decision…grounded in experience and strategy”.

Riiight. No amount of back-tracking by the media and silence by politicians can make this look like, at best, opportunist warmongering or, worse, an engineered, then botched, attempt to drag the UK into more war crimes and wars of aggression.
