There is a dialectics of aggression and also a dialectics of resistance involved here. Imperialism was emboldened to attack Iran because of the relative ease with which it carried out its operations in Venezuela; and had the regime change in Iran occurred as easily as imperialism had imagined, then it would have been further emboldened to carry its attacks immediately to other countries. But the resistance in Iran, which came as a big surprise for it, has stopped it in its tracks for the time being.
