The center of Hurricane Polo made landfall in the first minute of this Tuesday in the municipality of Comondú, in the state of Baja California Sur, in the Mexican Pacific, as a category 2 on the Saffir-Simpson scale.
Polo made landfall at approximately 24:00 hours central Mexico time (06:00 GMT) near Las Barrancas, according to the National Water Commission (Conagua) in a message posted on its official social media account on X.
The weather phenomenon has maximum sustained winds of 175 kilometers per hour, with gusts of 205 km/h.

“Extreme precautions are recommended in the affected areas and follow the instructions of the authorities,” Conagua stressed.
