Venezuela’s Acting President, Delcy Rodriguez, delivered 181 homes at the Simon Bolivar urban development in Caracas on Monday, including 16 apartments designated for families affected by the twin earthquakes that struck Caracas, Miranda and Carabobo states on June 24.
During the ceremony, Acting President Delcy Rodriguez expressed satisfaction with the handover, noting that Venezuela has now rehabilitated more than 1,800 homes since the earthquakes struck. “I share the happiness with these families who are receiving new homes today,” she said.
The Venezuelan Acting President also addressed families still living in temporary shelters, promising they would be assisted through the ongoing housing program. “They will have their homes, we’re continuing, with a minimum goal of 4,000 new homes by the end of the year. We’ve already delivered 709, but there will be many more,” she stressed.

In addition to the deliveries in Tiuna Fort, Rodríguez announced the handover of homes in Miranda state’s Cristobal Rojas municipality, where 77 housing units were awarded at the Mirador de Caiza urban development.
Rodriguez highlighted that 1,800 homes have now been rehabilitated through the Venezuela Rises Plan, an initiative focused on repairing housing damaged by the earthquakes, emphasizing that national unity and joint effort remain the path forward for overcoming the country’s challenges.
“This is the path I speak of for Venezuela, the path of joint work, of national unity to face our problems, letting unity guide us in overcoming all the challenges that came with this year,” Rodriguez said.

As part of Monday’s activities, 77 fully equipped apartments were also delivered in Valles del Tuy, along with 88 housing units in the community of Los Guayos, in Carabobo state, further expanding the reach of the social housing program. Through these actions, the Venezuelan government reaffirmed its commitment to guaranteeing safe and dignified homes for affected families, framing the initiative as part of a broader approach that places people at the center of public policy.
The overall housing development spans more than 493,537 square meters and is projected to include a total of 2,390 housing units distributed across 95 buildings once fully completed, according to figures shared during the event.
Officials have consistently framed the Venezuela Rises Plan as a central pillar of the government’s recovery response, with Rodríguez reiterating that additional deliveries are expected to continue on a rolling basis as construction progresses toward the year-end target.
