Lima, Sep 27 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban Embassy in Peru played a prominent role in the International Fair of Culture, Tourism, and Education held in the Lima district of Miraflores, an event driven by diplomatic missions accredited in the country.

The island’s stand featured tourist souvenirs, cuisine, and a showcase of achievements in culture, tourism, and education, as well as music from the nation—genres highly appreciated in Peru.

Miraflores Mayor Carlos Canales visited the Cuban stand while touring the fairgrounds; he was welcomed by Cuba’s Charge d’Affaires in Peru, Ambassador Yamila Pita, and highlighted the country’s tourist attractions as well as the hospitality and warmth of its people.

The diplomat expressed appreciation for the visit and underscored the fair’s importance in fostering closer ties between the sister nations of Cuba and Peru.
