I fit rental skis for Ivanka once. She made a big deal of how she had been a ski racer, felt the edges, asked if I could sharpen them. Thing was, we weren’t dumbasses. It was relatively early in the season and of course we had been given a heads up who we were fitting. Those skis were brand new out of the factory box, razor sharp. I also didn’t have a sharpener with me. So I went out and shot the shit with SS folks who were all relegated to the garage. After a couple minutes I went back in and handed the skis back to her. She said oh thank you so much these are much better now… If she’s that much of a dumbass in something she thinks she’s good at, how bad must she be at everything else?
