On Tuesday, FIFA, together with the Palestinian Football Federation, inaugurated two new FIFA Arena mini-pitch fields for kids in Marah Rabah and Qusin.

The facilities were co-financed by FIFA and the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) and will officially open on Friday with the United for Peace Children’s Cup.
The tournament will bring together 14 Palestinian teams and up to 160 children, marking the start of the fields’ regular use as active community spaces. The main objective is to provide safe spaces where boys and girls can play, exercise, and socialize, despite the restrictions affecting daily life in the region.
Football activities for children and other community members will also be held as part of the “United for Peace” campaign. FIFA emphasized that football promotes values such as peace, friendship, inclusion, teamwork, mutual respect, and fair play.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino said that the value of these facilities will be measured by their daily use and expressed his confidence that they will serve the communities for “many years to come.”
The mini-pitches are part of the FIFA Arena program, which aims to create safe and accessible spaces around the world, complemented by the provision of sports equipment.
One of the facilities is located in Thaher Al Thour, and the other is in northwest Qusin, next to the main road to Deir Sharaf. The goal is to provide a permanent, functional space for training, gatherings, and play.
