Brigadier General Yahya Saree of the Yemeni Armed Forces reported that the Saudi Air Force carried out 28 airstrikes, conducted by F-15 fighter jets, across the country in the last 24 hours, following Houthi operations against Riyadh.
In a statement on X, Saree said the attacks hit the provinces of Taiz, Al-Jawf and Marib. He added that the Saudi-led coalition has carried out at least 760 air operations since the recent escalation began.

Earlier, the director of the Media Department of the Presidency in Sanaa, Zaid Al-Gharsi, told the press that the strategic equation Yemeni forces seek to consolidate is “Riyadh in exchange for Sanaa,” and stressed that the Saudi regime must accept this new military reality.
Amid the Saudi attacks, the president of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, made up of the Houthis and the General People’s Congress, Mahdi Al-Mashat, said recent Armed Forces operations in coastal areas are a “national action to impose sovereignty and expel concentrations of Saudi troops.” He maintained that the equation “blockade for blockade and escalation for escalation” responds to the people’s mandate. He added that “under the leadership of the leader of the revolution, we are advancing determined to end the aggression and the Saudi siege, reopen airports and ports, and recover national resources.”
Yemen’s Houthis rejected Saudi accusations that their attacks threaten the holy sites in Mecca, calling the claims “fabrications and lies.”

Al-Mashat rejected Riyadh’s accusations about an attack against Mecca, calling them defamation and asserting that “the honor of our forces is known to the world.” He warned that military options will expand and take more forceful forms, stressed that Yemen will not renounce its rights “even at the cost of its own lives,” and reaffirmed the Yemeni people’s right to defend their just cause and demand a definitive end to the Saudi aggression and blockade.
On the diplomatic front, Al-Mashat denounced that Yemen’s seat at the United Nations remains vacant and that those who usurp it “do not represent the nation.” Regarding navigation in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandeb, he assured that the area is safe, except for Saudi vessels. He reiterated that a real and just peace remains the strategic option and that the peaceful path “is the least costly.”
