State-owned airline Mexicana received its ninth Embraer E2 aircraft, registration XA-MXI, this weekend at the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA), in Santa Lucía, State of Mexico. In a statement, the airline reported that with this addition its fleet reaches a combined capacity of 57,020 seats per month, representing an approximate increase of 11.04 percent in installed capacity compared to the eight aircraft previously incorporated.
“The growth of the fleet strengthens Mexicana’s goal of ‘connecting Mexico with Mexico,’ moving passengers and generating opportunities that contribute to the development of the country’s regions,” it stated.
The Embraer 190-E2 aircraft, registration XA-MXI, has capacity for 108 passengers and a 2+2 cabin configuration, with no middle seat. Like its predecessors of this model, it incorporates cutting-edge technology that improves fuel-consumption efficiency and reduces its emissions.
